Europe’s youth are rising in a generational revolt.

Across Europe, young people are taking to the streets in protest, from student demonstrations in France to movements in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and a historic electoral victory in Serbia. As minorities in ageing societies, the younger generation faces a collapsed social contract where hard work no longer secures a home, a family, or stability. Decades of neoliberal policies have created a profound generational divide, with wealth heavily concentrated among older demographics while youth bear the brunt of precarious employment, housing crises, and decaying public services. Rather than pitting generations against one another, analysts note this unrest reflects a deeper systemic issue built to favour asset holders over wage earners. Fuente: UnHerd
